Parasound Products, Inc.
Location: San Francisco CA, United States
Parasound was established in 1981 and is still owned by company president Richard Schram. Legendary audio designer John Curl has been designing for Parasound since 1988. Along with Carl Thompson, his circuit board designer since their Vendetta days, Curl has assisted Parasound in the creation of sensibly priced audio components whose performance is competetive with many of the most expensive audio brands.
Dolby Labs, Apple, Lucasfilm, Pixar, Skywalker Sound, Sony Pictures, Sony Music, Capitol Records, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox and the San Francisco Symphony are among the names you would recognize who use Parasound day in and day out. The list of performing artists who own Parasound is even longer and loudspeaker manufacturers who use Parasound as a tool in the development of their products include Wilson Audio, JL Audio, MartinLogan, KEF and SoundLab.
Seven Parasound Halo models are presently Stereophile Class A Recommended Components and we’ve received numerous Editor’s Choice awards from The Absolute Sound. Our products are sold in 61 countries around the world and we have received awards and honors from audio publications in the UK, Norway, Russia, Australia, South Africa, Hong Kong, Thailand and Singapore.
Richard is personally debuting Parasound’s much-anticipated Halo Integrated Amplifier at RMAF 2014, room 8028.
