New Product Release – Clearaudio Concept Black
The new Clearaudio Concept Black is the latest version of the German company’s most affordable turntable. The Concept Black incorporates all of the advanced parts, such as aluminum sub-platter and rear-mounted speed calibration, found on the highly regarded two- tone black and silver Concept.
This German made turntable starts at $1,400 retail with Clearaudio Concept tonearm and there are special packages including the Concept MM cartridge for $1,600 or Concept MC cartridge for $2,200. The Concept Black pictured is with the Satisfy Black tonearm and Concept MC cartridge for $2,600. All versions come with the cartridge installed and calibrated at Clearaudio’s factory in Bavaria.
Three Turntables featured in Crestone Peak System
Musical Surroundings will be using the Martin Logan Neolith ($79,995/pair) to demonstrate three of their turntable systems at various price points.
The first features the Clearaudio Master Innovation with top-of-the-line TT1-MI linear arm and Goldfinger Statement cartridge retailing for $92,500. The second system retails for $17,250 and features the AMG Giro turntable, just awarded Class A in Stereophile’s Recommended Components, and the DS Audio DS-002 Optical cartridge, recent recipient of The Absolute Sounds’ Golden Ear award. The third, featuring the new Clearaudio Concept Black turntable and Satisfy Black tonearm with a Hana SL cartridge (also a recent recipient of The Absolute Sounds’ Golden Ear award), and the new Musical Surroundings SuperNova III phono stage, comes in at $7,550.
